How to Root Redmi Note 8 Pro with Magisk?

Backup your Smartphone:

During Rooting your device, leads to data loss. So It is advisable, take complete backup of your smartphone includes Contacts,SMS, Documents and personal files.

Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlock:


You’ll find USB Debugging and OEM Unlock, Under the developer options. To enable Developer option on your Smartphone,
Go to settings > About phone > Tap 7 times on MIUI Version.
Now again,
Go to settings > Additional settings > Developer Option > Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlock.
Then Reboot your device. Now again,
Go to settings > Additional Settings > Click the Mi Unlock status to add your device.

Unlock Redmi Note 8 Pro Bootloader:

Download Mi USB driver and Mi Unlock Tool using above links.

Install both drivers and unlock tool in your desktop. Open the Mi unlock tool login with your account. Now connect your device into PC through Fastboot mode via USB Cable. Now your device will be added on Mi unlock tool and Click to Unlock,wait for sometime to complete. Then reboot your device, while rebooting you’ll see “Unlocked” under the Mi Logo.
Note: Hold Volume down and power button together up to 10 seconds, to enter Fastboot mode.

Install TWRP Recovery in Redmi Note 8 Pro:

Copy and extract twrp recovery img file into your PC/Laptop.

Now Connect your device through fastboot mode via USB Cable. In PC open TWRP recovery contained folder,On the empty space of the folder, Click Shift + Right click to choose Open Windows shell here. In the Command prompt, give first command as
fastboot devices
and hit Enter. Now your device will be added to the command shell. Then give a second command as,
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
and Enter. That is it you successfully Installed a twrp custom recovery on your Redmi Note 8 Pro.

After downloading both files on your smartphone, go to recovery menu by holding volume up + Power button together continuously. In the Recovery menu select Install > Choose Magisk.zip from downloaded folder and swipe to Install.
Then also Install Lazyflasher.zip, It prevents from Stuck on logo.
Note: It is Recommended, Whenever you flash zip files through twrp Don’t forget to clear cache.
